Investment strategy

We successfully developed and divested over 400 MW of wind projects and have built-up a portfolio of investments, all related to the energy transition. We endeavor to partner with companies that seek to play a leading role in the energy transition. Companies run by inspirational and ambitious teams developing innovative products and services. Driven by opportunities and market demand, aiming to contribute to net-zero emission economies. Our approach is hands-on and we feel confident to take lead roles.

We typically commit between €2.5 and €10 million and target Series A and B equity rounds.

2004	Yard Energy was founded
2005	Acquired a wind project under development which was sold to INTERNATIONAL POWER LTD
2009	Raised €60M from HNWIs to acquire 15 wind projects under development
2013	Acquired 750 MW of wind projects in EU and became a top three Dutch private wind developer
2014	Established a JV with Maas Capital (ABN AMRO) for investments in Finnish wind projects
2015	Acquired a 20% stake in Lagerwey Wind which company was successfully sold to Enercon in 2018

2016	Signed a framework agreement with Eurus Energy for the sale of 330 MW of wind projects
2020	Structured €600M of debt and equity for construction of windfarms in the Netherlands
2020	LAUNCHED YARD ENERGY TRANSITION FUND I
2021	sold wind farm Drawsko in poland and delivered last wind project to Eurus Energy
2022	SECURED THE 10TH INVESTMENT AS PART OF THE ENERGY TRANSITION FUND I
2023	EXPECTED LAUNCH OF YARD ENERGY TRANSITION FUND II, OPEN TO EXTERNAL INVESTORS
